On May 21, Balmoral Bar & Grill will be hosting the incomparable and hilarious Leesburg Blues Brothers Tribute. If you loved Jake and Elwood back in the day, you’re going to be absolutely delighted to see these impersonators as they bring their dynamic act to Haines City’s live music venue for your enjoyment.
The Leesburg Blues Brothers Tribute formed about seven years ago, though the two musical comedians had been entertaining audiences in various capacities for decades before coming together to create this routine. Both men have extensive experience with music, theater, and pop culture.
The impersonators specialize in recreating the iconic mannerisms and expressions of those beloved characters. Their show is intended for an adult audience and is very lively and interactive.
There is a healthy dose of humor mixed in as the Blues Brothers impersonators cover all the most popular songs that the originals charmed audiences with more than 40 years ago. You’ll hear favorites like “Soul Man,” “Sweet Home Chicago,” “She Caught the Katy,” “Everybody Needs Somebody,” “Minnie the Moocher,” and “Hey, Bartender!” Come on out to Balmoral Bar & Grill to experience the full effect of their amazing renditions of some timeless hits.
“What we love about performing as the Leesburg Blues Brothers is watching the reaction of the audience when we hit the stage,” Cliff B. says. “There’s such a huge following. We’re certainly blessed to be able to do this.”

TIMBALIVE is a group of highly trained musicians hailing from the prestigious music schools of Cuba. The high-energy, Cuban-style salsa dance music they play is known as “TIMBA.” Once the band starts, you’ll find it impossible to stay in your seat!
This group of stellar performers is one of the largest and most successful groups of its kind in the United States and the world. You’ll love the unique blend of music they play that blends a striking variety of rhythms from all around the globe.

Staff Spotlight: Barbara Gomez, Director of Events and Entertainment
Have you ever wondered who is behind all the events and activities we hold here at Balmoral Bar and Grill? Meet Barbara Gomez, director of Events and Entertainment. Her extensive experience in the entertainment industry has made her instrumental in making Haines City’s live music venue a Central Florida hotspot!
While Barbara has been employed with Balmoral for only about a year, she’s spent most of her life around entertainers, so she has developed an instant rapport with the fantastic musicians and other performers that Balmoral Bar & Grill showcases.
“I’ve been in entertainment my whole life,” she says. “I’ve been an entertainer myself since I was 10 years old.”
A genuine Central Florida native, Barbara was born right here in Haines City and began her career in the entertainment industry as a country and western singer when she was a child. She graduated from Bartow Senior High School in 1983.
Barbara was working in real estate last year when a professional associate introduced her to Garrett Kenny, Balmoral Bar & Grill’s owner. She was thrilled to accept his job offer and has been enthusiastically attracting talent to Haines City’s live music venue ever since.
“I’m in kind of a unique situation. The people that I worked with when I was in school — in grade school and high school — I’m actually working with them again, hiring them for Balmoral,” Barbara chuckles. “So the entertainers that are here in Central Florida, I actually know a lot of them that work for us. It’s been really cool getting to know them again in a different situation. I’ve had a lot of support from them, too. It’s been great.”
Her years of experience previously running the area’s largest recurring karaoke event in the ’90s have made it easy for Barbara to set up a fun karaoke night every Wednesday at Balmoral Bar & Grill with her friend, Rockin’ Robin.
When you visit Haines City’s live music venue, Barbara urges you to order her favorite from the menu, “The Cuban sandwich is to die for! It is delicious. We have excellent chefs.”

Today, we’re speaking with Casey Adams, the food and beverage director for Feltrim companies, including Balmoral Bar and Grill and Balmoral Event Center. Casey is no stranger to the Central Florida area. She grew up in Winter Haven and went to college at Webber International University where she studied Hospitality Business Management. She still resides in the Central Florida area to this day.
Though Casey has just under a year of work under her belt at Balmoral Bar and Grill, she’s not new to management. She currently serves as the General Manager here at Balmoral and has a combined 18 years of management experience. Casey said her favorite part about working at Balmoral is the people she gets to work with and the guests she gets to serve. “I love…the diversity of guests that come in,” she said. “We have locals that have become regulars, vacationers, and international travelers.”
It’s clear to Casey why guests love Balmoral as much as she does. She specifically enjoys getting to put together the incredible events at the venue. Having an idea and watching that vision come to life, all while guests have a great time, is a rewarding experience.
The events are coupled with the food and drinks Casey and her team take pride in serving the guests. From evenings out at the Balmoral Bar and Grill to foam parties at the water park, patrons love the service and the meals, all cooked from scratch in the kitchen. Casey’s favorite cocktail is the moonshine slushie; try it out next time you’re here!
